Who Are Abbey Surfacing?

Abbey Surfacing is a trusted name for surfacing in the Gloucestershire area. We are a family owned and run company now employing 3 generations of the family. Set up as a sole trader in 1982, the one-man operation has grown and gone from strength to strength. Since then we have expanded our labour force, plant and lorry fleet and our operating base. This has enabled us to undertake and complete surfacing works to an exacting high standard for many private customers requiring a traditional personal service as well as commercial clients with changing needs. We have successfully carried out works as either the main contractor or sub-contractor to most major employers in our region. In order to maintain our “hands-on” day-to-day management we limit our tendering activities to an area typically within a 50-mile radius of Gloucester. Our client base extends through local authorities and schools departments, local NHS Trusts, major and medium sized Contractors, local builders and developers, private companies and importantly, domestic property owners. Selected members of our team hold the New Road and Street Works Accreditation for working in local authority highways and footpaths. We believe that our honesty, integrity, professionalism and hard work have been the cornerstone to our success and we look forward to continuing to build new relationships for many years to come.
